Just a quick question for anyone with 3.73's & 3.55's

Seriously just a quick question.

Looking for anyone running 3.73 gears to tell me what exact RPM you are turning in 6th @ 60 mph

Also the same from anyone running 3.55's please.

Love to also know your tire wheel combo as it plays in.

Thanks guys,

I've got the 3.73s and I believe it's between 1800 and 1900, I usually run 62-63mph and the tach is always right around 2k, so 18-19 seems right. The only other thing that would factor in is that my tires are .25" shorter than stock. Hope this helps.

255/40/19 tire and about 1850 rpm at 60 mph with 3.73's in 2014 GT.

Of course, at 60 have to downshift into 4th and maybe 3rd (depends on who is next door....) if it's ON!

All the best.

I will check tomorrow because I don't think I have ever been going only 60 mph when in 6th gear. I have 3.55s

3.73. 2000 rpms I think. I never drive 60 because of the drone from my Outlaws.

This is something that can be calculated exactly . . . OP try the calculator that was posted earlier in this thread or google one of the many others that are available on line; you can plug in your exact setup with tire size and everything and it will do the math.

Personally, I think the 50-60 range is the ONLY place where I actually like the 3.73s. I do a lot of 50-60 driving on local rural roads and the 5th /6th gear running in that speed range is nice. When I get out on a real highway, the engine spins higher than I'd prefer. I really dislike first gear for street driving. Overall, I think I'd want something like the stock base GT gears despite the fact that it'll leave me in 5th more often on my rural commute.
