Looking into buying a 2014 GT

Hi all! I was looking into purchasing a 2014 Mustang GT. It has the 6speed. Was wondering what all I should look for on this before I purchase it? Any known issues on these? It has right at 61k miles.

Thanks!

Welcome to AFM.

Do a quick search and you will find lots to read as this question of "what issues to look for when buying XXXX year Mustang" is a very popular question with lots of great info.

In short a 2014 GT is a solid choice especially with the low miles this one has.

(I have owned a few non Mustang cars over the years as well, but always try to have a Mustang with it or come quickly back to a Mustang!)

Iím not sure what you should be looking for, but a little over a year ago, I picked up my 2014 GT. When I took possession, it had just a little over 1800 miles on it. Only mods were wheels and exhaust. I now have a little over 7000 miles on it. Itís been trouble free and a hoot to drive. I get a lot of nods and people wanting to race.
Every time I look at it, it brings a smile to my face.
Being that it is a machine, I will expect something to break, just as you should. Look that car over good, maybe take it to a trusted mechanic and have him go over it. Enjoy.

There are no specific weak spots, but the list of things you should be checking are pretty comprehensive. I would recommend you take it to a good shop for a thorough inspection. It needs to be on a rack, it needs to be driven and tested. Check things like the AC/Heater as well.

Leaks / Squeaks, Tires, Suspension noises, paint, interior wear, starting, idling, smoothness of shifting (both AUTO / Manual).

Take your time... You can't check it too much...

Again... I suggest a good shop as well...

I would look at under edges of hood, near seam sealer and see if there is any corrosion.
Mine had it @ 3K miles, never seen salt/snow, only seen rain once, and garage kept the entire time.
I's still an issue, even into the S550's.
