Tire mobility kit

Hi,

I ordered a GT with Brembo. This doesn't come with a spare tire, but with a tire mobility kit. I was wondering if I should get a t-handle repair kit? I have read that the tire mobility kit will ruin the tpm sensor. I'm not very educated on tires, so pardon me if the question sounds stupid

By the way, it looks like ALL 2011 Mustangs come with tire mobility kit instead of spare donut.

WTF it is an electric air pump (plugs into lighter socket) and a tube of hole-plugging goo.

Really?

Does anybody know if the car has the space for a spare tire? I've been burned too many times without a spare and I hate gimmicks. Unfortunately, I didn't think to look in the '10 before ordering my '11.

So where do you get a spare? I thought the standard spares could not be used because they wouldn't fit with the brembo brakes, and that was why they didn't give a spare. Now i'm even more confused!

I'm sure a spare would fit the rear. If you got a flat in the front, just swap the rear wheel to the front and put the spare on the rear. Had to do that on my 2001 GT that I had 13" Cobra brakes on the front......I was too cheap to buy a 17" Cobra spare

Thanks I'll ask the dealer when I get the car. I don't feel good about not having a spare. I've been stranded in the middle of the desert without gas (yeah, stupid me), so I can't imagine being without a spare under 117 degrees of heat!

That's exactly what it says to do on the Roush. I never checkedd the dia of the spare but I sure wouldn't run it long for fear of hurting the L/S.

The kit has a small compressor with a can of tire goop that should plug the hole hopefully.
I will look at it more before I hit the highway for a road trip. The spare idea does sound good and doing the back to front thing if you get a front flat.

Only Brembo users need the kit.
