How flexible are dealers with pricing being Mustangs are selling very good?

I have my built my 2011 Mustang v6 Premium car (convertible). The total comes out to $34,835.00.

I selected the pony grille package 202A Plus sidescoops...

(not sure how much more this will cost as the Ford website says that the dealer accesories do not include paint or installation)

So going with the $34,835.00 price, how much can I expect to negotiate off this price?

Any suggestions as I have not bought a new car in a long time, let alone, one that is this popular in demand.

Thanks

Pretty much "Nothing"!! My advice is to get an A/X/Z Plan Pin and whatever rebates you can gather.

If you're an NRA member they have a car buying service as does AAA and places like Sam's Club. Check and see what kind of deal you can get through them.
I ordered my Grabber blue GT, Cali pkg., Hid, shaker 1000, auto, remote start for $36,694 by going through the NRA car buying service.

these are discounts for for Ford employees and their families. I got my ranger with the D plan since i work at the dealer. A plan I believe is for assembly line workers and most of the time you get the best discount. X plan is for family of Ford employees, and I am not too sure what Z is but i believe its the lowest on the totem pole as far as discounts are concerned.

Why drive a Prius when you can have a Fiesta!!

Ford gives discounts to certain groups of people. It all depends on what category you fall under.

A/Z are for Ford Employees (immediate family) and Retirees (Z)

X are Friends, and Suppliers (Citigroup, Dofasco, FedEX, etc) Virtually anyone can get an X plan pin and it will save you money

D/F is for Dealership employees (same discount as A) and F is for Dealer Relatives (better than X)

Ideally "A" is the best you can get as it is below cost. Plus you may be entitled to other Union benefits and discounts. CAW members got an extra 2600 plus 1000 for insurance a couple of years ago. It has since been negotiated out.

Granted, I'm in Canada, so the US may be different BUT that is what it is here.

My company has a deal with Ford to get what they call the Xplan. Check with your company if they have such a thing. If not, go to truecar.com and get a quote there. It's guaranteed. I have Xplan with my company, but I got a better deal with truecar.

Try Price Ford in the Vendor Forum. You can expect to get about 2K$ off of MSRP. Mark is their internet guy. I got a firm price quote in less than 5 minutes.

Another one is USAA car buying service.

https://www.usaa.com/inet/ent_utils/...vices_products

Right now they are showing guaranteed, no haggle, price of $200.00 below invoice for mustangs. (at least the ones I've built on their site.)

You might not get a good deal on a local one if you walk in off the street, but there are dealers out there who will order one for a good price.

I ordered mine early (1/26/10) before the realization of how great these cars are. My window sticker is $38,175. I negotiated $36,000. Actually paid $35,500 after the rebate.

Best deal I have ever been able to negotiate on a new car.

Yesterday I ordered my loaded v6 premium Stang from Van Bortel Ford in East Rochester, NY for $300 under invoice. They gave me wholesale price on my 05 civic trade in, but said they had no issues with me trying to sell it myself before my car comes in.
