GT CS Hood Scoop Questions re: looks & aerodynamics

How does it affect aerodynamics and MPG? Is the look good?

The California Special doesn't have a hood scoop. That package comes with a side scoop and a spoiler.

If you're looking at adding a hood scoop to your GT I'd suggest looking at a 2010 with that feature. The normal hood is raised in the middle and the hood scoop raises that part 3 more inches. Short people will find it distracting but some people really like the look. It does look aggressive.

Aerodynamically, the hood scoop would have a very minor negative effect. I've never seen anything published that showed the difference.

2011 hood scoop is lower profile and wider/longer than 2010! Much more attractive!

I love the way the hood scoop looks (in theory), but from the picture I seen of it installed in the Ford.com (Mustang) gallery, it looked like a bolt on (not a part of the hood). You could see parting lines.

I will go with the standard hood. Looks nice as it is.

Yeah the hood scoop doesn't look integrated at all. I personally don't like it.
