rear antenna removable?

Is that AM-FM stick antenna on the right rear fender removable? What to do in automatic carwash?

Avoid automatic carwashes like that. They're just scratching up your car.

You should not go through automatic car washes, unless they are "Touch Free". You are marring the hell out of your paint and permanently damaging it over time.

OK - I'll stay away from machine car washes.

So does that mean the antenna is NOT removable. I might want to remove it just because it's kinda ugly - I don't listen to AM or FM anyway.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but every vehicle with an antenna like that is threaded in and can be removed, but then you have an open threaded socket exposed to the elements and I'm sure the next buyer will want the radio occasionally. You might be able to find a plastic cap that will fit.

I have heard that even touch free washes use very abrasive cleaners (to make up for lack of agitation) and should be avoided at all costs.

to answer your question, rear antenna is removable...but as Prop said leaves an open threaded socket

Sure you can!!!

Just twist it off. Then go to www.blowbyracing.com and get you a 2010-2011 Billet (short) antenna. Its looks way better and made of metal not rubber. I got it for my 2011 GT and she looks sweet!!!!:laughlitt
