Thoughts on Sync

I've been playing with Sync for the last 2 days and I'm very impressed. Made hands free calls, received calls, Sync downloaded my phone directory, got driving directions (very accurate), played music, received & sent text messages, asked for a business location, etc. Understands my commands even with the top down. What do you other Mustang owners think?

I love it, but heres a hint - depending on what you do, it does burn cell phone minutes for the various Services. So, I found the number that Sync is dialing and added it to my free calls/friends and family hot list so I dont have to worry about running up a bill through my car!

Love it! Been using it in my Demo's since Ford first started adding it to their vehicles. I sure wouldn't get one without it and with the distracted driving laws here in Ontario, it only makes sense to get it. Works great with a USB flash drive. Recognizes some of the most obscure and bizarre band names I can throw at it.

For those of us without a cell hot list, what services will use your cell? I am guessing I'll notice my phone making a call?

I don't even have my car yet but I know it's the best in car package out there.

+Turn by turn directions
+Bluetooth hand free calling
+Listen to Pandora Radio and control by speech
+Twitter
+reads me my txt msgs and I can send txt msg by speech

Just the free pandora integration alone is enough to get my vote.

Had it since it came out on 3 vehicles, never use it, hate remembering the commands.

Cool toy, only use it for hands free calls that I initiate from my telephone.

I have 9Gb of music and I still do it manually cause I hate the vocal interface

How does it integrate into Pandora? You have a smartphone?

Never noticed my cell doing anything, but thats because it is hiding in the console and I'm just going through the stereo of course. I'm pretty sure its dialing out whenver you use any of the "Services" options (traffic, directions, sports, etc. - anything that has to communicate outside of the vehicle).

Does anyone know why the blackberry isn't capable of doing the text mode w/ the sync capabilities?

If only Microsoft and Apple and other competing brands/companies were not so "exclusive" with everything. It's like having certain games on the xbox 360, not the PS3 and vise versa. But, I guess nothing is perfect.
