I was assured by someone "inside" that my vehicle was ready to ship and that vehicle visibility that dealers use is often 24-72 hours behind what's actually happening.

I want to believe him, I really do. But I have this dreaded feeling it will keep bouncing...

My car might be in a similar situation (VIN 1ZVBP8CF9B5108509). I just talked to CS, and while I didn't get a detailed list like that, they did say that the order status is "awaiting shipment". Now granted, it's been "awaiting shipment" for over two months now, but they said this particular status had been updated on June 19th. So maybe there's been some recent ping pong.

And this had better be leading to something, because I'm canceling on July 1st if I don't get a substantial promise of delivery.

Email your dealer and ask for a vehicle visibility history to be emailed to you. Then post it here so we can compare!

Mine went onsite/offsite 3 times before JohnnyB stopped being able to give status'. I've given up calling CS. You would think that by the time CS would tell you it's in route that you'd get a call from your dealer.

Sounds like Ford is wasting money shipping cars around to mystery places and back again. If they would just ship them to the dealers they would be sold and Ford would increase their sales even faster. Seems silly. I obviously know nothing about Ford's process but that is what it looks like from the outside looking in. We just want our cars. (Tear)

Original Order: 5/22/10, Never scheduled.
Canceled by dealer on 8/11/10 (11 weeks).

New Order Placed By dealership: Build Date 8-26-10
Delivered 9-14-10!!!!

2011 Black Mustang GT Premium. 401A, Brembo Brakes, Glass Roof, Navigation, Rear Camera, Security Package, Comfort Package, 3.73 Rear End, 6 Speed Manual. Magnaflow exhaust.

Ask for a "vehicle visibility history" to be emailed to you. Bypass your salesman and talk to the sales manager.

If you get one, share it with me.

I'll have to do it tomorrow. My dealership is only open 8-5.
