I went with the stick...
1) Already have a auto in my 2006 GT
2) the gear option from the factory not available on auto
3) the brake package, 6-speed and 400 plus horses make this a fun track car
4) More fun if thats what u are looking for
5) $995 cheaper
6) Because I could

2006 GT, FRPP drag pack, FRPP handling pack
2011 GT ordered 1/30, off the truck on 6/21

Black GT - 401a, Black/Cashmere interior
6 spd, spoiler delete, security package
3.73, HID, comfort package
Brembo brake package, Glass top
First mod - CS front fascia

Auto- Way to much inner city driving, and plus SCT will help me out when I can open her up in the backroads!

I have a manual and i love it. I will never buy a mustang with an automatic.

I chose a manual because I enjoy shifting and feeling like I am more in control of my car's power than in an auto. I find that with an automatic, i start to drift off mentally and not really pay attention to the road as much as I should. Also, I find it's easier to be speeding without knowing in an auto. So, hands down... Manual.

2011 premium GT. Sterling Grey metalic with Charcoal interior. Roush Axlebacks. Redline hood struts. Shelby GT500 style rims. Smoked side markers. Comfort package with GT coupe Accessories #5. Don't Judge me for the accessories pack, I'm a recovering Ricer...

Other rides:
2011 Mazda CX-7 Touring Turbo
2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Agree the DC Area traffic s ridiculous!!!!, However I chose stick shift for mine, the auto felt like it couldn't get out of its own way, and the exhaust sounded alot better on the stick.

Automatic, yesteryear's are behind us (me). I don't feel in today's world I should need to work at driving a car after the "Fun" has worn off and reality has set in.

I purchased an automatic because:

1. The boss (a.k.a. my wife) can't drive a stick.
2. I have a lot of stop and go traffic in my commute and an auto makes the drive more bearable.
3. In all of my "race cars" over the years I had more consistent 1/4 mile track times with an auto shifting for me. (1970 Buick GSX 455, 1990 Mustang 5.0L)

2011 Mustang V6 Pony Package Kona Blue, Airaid CAI, MRT Interceptor Axle-back exhaust, Automatic, Tunes 93 Octane Race Tune, Baltimore Street Mods 10" Racing Stripes, 2010 Mustang GT Ford Racing Strut Tower Brace, J&M Extreme Joint Rear Lower Control Arms, Ford Motorsport 3.73 Gears, Shaftmasters Aluminum Driveshaft, JLT Oil Separator

Manual. Had an automatic in my last 2 cars and regretted it both times. I just like shifting the gears my self for some reason.
