How is your 5.0 performance?

Hi All,

Our new GT Premium will be here in less than 2 weeks!

My partner sold her previous rig and has been driving my Z06 Corvette, slightly modified, pushing approx 485 hp.

Well our dealer had a 5.0 coupe and we went down to drive it so she would get ready for her new car. She was disappointed, I told her she set her expectations too high, the Z06 is a beast, but its not a good every day driver.

I didn't drive the 5.0, but was riding in it and I thought the acceleration was pretty good. It pushed me back into the seat.

We are going to drive a Camaro and a Challenger this weekend, so she can compare them. Of course neither of those is offered in a convertible.

A local person is also selling a 2003 Cobra Convertible with 12,000 miles. We may check that out too.

I am hoping we get this figured out, because I think the one we ordered will be an awesome car, GT Premium Convertible, Nav, backup camera, Brembos, triple black with the grabber blue stripe in the seats.

I just wondered what the lucky souls who have their 5.0s think of the performance.

Could be an interesting weekend!
