2011 Canadian Employee Pricing (A Plan) - July 1 to August 31, 2010

Hi All.

I was looking at the Ford Canada web site and, sure enough, the program has changed.

It looks like the 5-0 and Costco $1000 incentives have completed.

Base pricing including delivery and allowances are

V6 Value Leader: $23,399
V6 Pony Package: $24,499
V6 Convertible Pony: $28,415
GT Coupe: $34, 349
GT Convertible $38,221

The V6 Pony Package has dropped so much (over $3000) that I might consider changing my order from Value Leader to Pony for a bit more money (my June deal can still be used).

Keep in mind they have jacked up the intrest rate to 6.9% vs last months 3.9% or was it 2.9%?

The interest rate appeared to vary depending on the trim level last month, oddly enough. It was 6.9 for the V6 Value Leader I was looking at.

The extra $2000 discount on top of the employee pricing for the V6 Pony Package is interesting. It makes the price between the V6 Value Leader and Pony Package very close. Previously, I wouldn't have considered a Pony Package because of the 4000 price for the pony package alone. Now, I'm reconsidering. V6 Value Leader vs V6 Pony + Comfort Package for about $4K more. I wonder if the wheels & tires, cosmetics and creature comforts are worth it.

Follow up comparing June vs July Pricing

Hi All

Here are some of the changes in prices from the website:

Discounts in place:
June: First Payment Back ($700), Costco $1000 and $500 Delivery allowance
July: Employee Pricing and $2000 Delivery allowance on V6 Pony

V6 Value Leader: Increase of 1078.50
V6 Pony + Comfort: Decrease of 2467.44

If only I could combine both June and July discounts

Here's a summary of the current incentives

EMPLOYEE PRICING – "Best Prices of the Year" on almost every 2010/2011 Model
FORD CREDIT CASH – Up to $1,000 for customers who finance through Ford Credit
ENHANCED LEASE SUPPORT:
2010MY Escape – Payments from $335/mth with 10% down
2011MY Fiesta – Payments from $250/mth with 10% down
FORD 100 HOUR TEST DRIVE CHALLENGE – Demonstrate confidence in our products with $100 to anyone who test drives a new Ford or Lincoln and purchases from the competition within 100 Hours
RECYCLE YOUR RIDE – Extended through Sept 30th (Ford Exclusive 1996-2003MY)
A/Z-PLAN LOYALTY OFFER – Each eligible Ford Employee/Retiree will be eligible for $1,000 toward the purchase of any qualifying 2010/2011 model (transferable to A-Plan eligible family member)
Q3 TARGETTED LOYALTY PROGRAMS
RCL terminations ($1,000 on F-Series / $500 on all Other)
Select Ford and Competitive Pickup owners ($1,000 on F-Series / $500 on all Other)

Rates are 6.99 for 60 and 7.99 for 72 months. Current bank rates are 5.89 for up to 84 months. Even with Ford Credit's 500.00 cash, if you finance through them, you're better off going through the bank. On a 35,000 car, the difference between 6.99 and 5.89 is around $1200.00. If you ordered last month you might be better off with those programs.

No problem

$0 on the V6 Value Leader and $2000 on the Base V6 and GT

$500.00 Ford Credit cash, if you take their finance rate of 6.99 (7.99 for 72)
