Indeed they are. However, usually when I am using the cup holders for water bottles, its on a road trip and its been in 5th for the last 2 hours anyway.:smilie

Yup! that's another one for me too. My girlfriend keeps asking me who sat in "her" seat lol when I did was get something out of the back seat. That upper lever should just fold the seat all the way forward, and then all the way back to where ever the seat is set at via the regular handle on the bottom.

I definitely need something to store change in. Do you have a link to this ford accessory?
Open up the center console, its underneath the USB port, 4 (I think) little notches you can stack coins in, didn't try yet but it doesn't look like it holds much. I'm also interested in this ford accessory?

you know what, I had this same complaint when I first got the car. I've had it for about 3-4 weeks now and I don't even notice it anymore. My halos are blue.

I actually just thought about this the other day as well I'm going to try it out. I don't understand why one cup holder is SO much deeper then the other one. Even with a large Tim Horton's coffee it still falls way to deep and you can barely get it out. When my girlfriend dropped the coffee down, the edges of the lid hit her fingers. I almost died because I thought the lid was coming right off!

I noticed this too! I think if it opened the other way, towards the driver it would solve this problem. I naturally want to rest my arm more to the right of the center console but it cracks open the cup holders.

I agree with all your points except I guess for the handles, haha never needed those before. My vanity mirrors SUCK!! Gezz they feel SOO cheap, just a flimsy plastic cover. Apparently according to the manual there is an optional upgraded sun visor/mirror?

They're pretty much unusable (except for velcroing in the garage door opener...which we should have anyway, according to the brochure)

Sun visors suck. Even the Kia Rio gets better visors!!!
BTW is it possible to remove those Air Bag warning labels off the visors? Sometimes I leave them down, then I look back on the car and realize how terrible those labels look.

Pretty much what everyone else has said I agree with. Lights for glovebox, hood and visor mirrors. Passenger grab bar would be nice.

Overall, it's an excellent cockpit. Very comfortable.
why thank you sir You pretty much nailed it on the head for the things I missed but totally agree with. I'm sure there would of been room to put some small overhead compartment for storing at least sun glasses. Right now I'm using one of those visor clips and the glasses vibrate and make noise like crazy, pisses me off.

Guys, ,these are cars are meant to be driven, not camped in. Get a sport ute with all the goodies.

Seriously, my only gripe is the cupholders. They are useless with anything larger than a 12oz soda with the manual.

I would like a headrest that was adjustable. Mine pushes my head forward and makes it uncomfortable.

Too many car's, not enough time.

I can usually put up with the little interior annoyances but that smiley face rear end bothers me. The front end is so aggressive and, for some reason, they had to change what was an elegant design on prior year models into something really odd. It so bothers me that I'm waiting for '12 pictures. That's my only gripe.

honestly I LOVE the rear ends on the new design, and it wasn't until they redid the body that I took notice of the mustang and gave it some consideration. IMO the rear end on the 05-09 is plain and boxy, hate it.

Funny to hear about all the cup holder complaints - my last two cars had the cup holders pop out of the dash, and although it was great for shifting people complained about THOSE because drink would end up spilling down the dash, they were not as convenient to reach, etc. No matter where you put the cup holders, there will be some issue. Just remember, in the 60s and 70s cars had NO cup holders at all and we survived just fine :-)

I can live with everything, even the cupholders, but I should have ordered the Electronics Package. My butt is gonna be sore from my kicking it every time the Electronics Package comes to mind!
Oh well, maybe for the 50th Anniversary Edition!!

Agreed, I traded in my explorer for my GT so I kinda accepted that there were gonna be space issues. Haha, cup holders are a little small though.

I don't have mine yet :-( but I can't say I'm liking the cap less fuel filler - did not see anyone else list that one? I'd like a locking door too that's hooked up to my remote - there are too many punks in the big city ya know. Also, I don't like the look of the head rests - they are canted way forward - did not know they are not adjustable! :-(

Here's one I didn't see in the first three pages of this thread:

All those colors that you can choose from on the dash gauges . . . why don't the radio/climate control buttons match? Is there no way to take them off that hideous light blue color?

I really like the cap less fuel filler!! I figure that saves me about 20 seconds per fill at the gas station. That's about 17 minutes per year that I don't have to waste taking the cap on and off.

Not too mention having the cap hanging down from the tether, wrecking the paint.

Head rests, I agree...way too forward. Must be a safety thing.

Being a single 20 year old guy, the only issue i have is the lack of driver memory seats. Me, my friends and a lot of guys at work frequently switch out our rides for comparison sake. With 6 way power adjust, it is really hard to find your perfect position once you 5.4 or 6.6 buddy move all the seat controls on you. Come on, its 2011! This should be standard!

Alright, now that i am ranting and have had a couple of beers...

Why does that 12v not kick out when i turn off the car? I have to turn my escort passport 8500 ( great detector by the way) off every time i shut the car off?

Also, a Mustang is a very unique car. Why do we all get these very basic Ford keys? My buddy has a Mazda which we all know is owned by Ford, and he gets that cool flip key? I have already ordered a special flip key of ebay for $60.00. Mustang owners should get something unique! After all, we are buying "American Heritage" give me something other then the standard Focus key!
