What Does This Mean??? HELP!!!!

I ordered my 2011 Mustang GT/CS over a month ago. I ordered grabber blue, 3.55, HID's, glass roof. My dealer called me a couple weeks ago and told me my VIN number and gave me the birhdate of my car. The dealer called me today and said the status of my vehicle say's "Booked" and the ETA of my vehicle is the second week of August. Can anybody tell me what "Booked" means?? My dealer wasn't sure what it meant, but he thinks that it has already been built but not enroute yet.

Id guess its slated or booked to be built and it will be ready the 2nd week of august. Or it was arrested and booked into the wayne co. jail for being undressed....

The question is not when's he gon' stop, but who is gonna stop him? ~ Super Soul

Are you sure it wasn't "Bucked" ?

Bucked means the parts have been gathered and it's ready to assemble on the line.

"Internet fact" search Ford Order Bucked on Google and any Forum thread that has an answer states the same meaning.

On older vehicles the body got a "Buck Tag" put on it when it was bucked. The Buck Tag is stamped with the different options the car was ordered with. Pretty sure the term Bucked corresponds to the buck tag being attached to the body that's ready to be assembled. Not sure if they still use Buck Tags on new cars though.

That totally sucks. I feel guilty driving mine when hearing stories like this.
