Dynometer baseline 2011 Mustang gt

Got my car on the dyno yesterday baseline, stock gt with 373s,manual trans, and a drop in k&n filter was 373hp.not a bad start if i do say so.Dropped the test at 6500rpm.i wasnt able to get my custom tune cause we had trouble updating my sct flash tuner for the new car, hopefully get that done here in the next couple of days.I let everyone know what the numbers are after custom tune.

So, aren't 4th gear pulls reading higher than 5th gear pulls? I know 5th is 1:1 and supposedly what you are supposed to use in our cases.

5th is not 1:1 but closer to it than 4th. I've seen higher numbers from 5th pulls, over 4th.

5th is exactly 1:1 that is why i ask if the pull was done in 4th or 5th.

5th is supposed to be 1:1...but I believe you will hit the limiter without a tune which is why stock vehicles get done in 4th.

For a baseline dyno it really does not matter as long as you do your next runs also in 4th after the mods are put on.

Good to know about the rev limiter. I'm getting my baseline dyno done Tuesday.
