Don't be surprised if it takes another 3-4 weeks before the knob is delivered. GrabberPony does excellent work, but they are a bit slow. I'm pretty sure they make each knob as the orders come in. It's worth the wait though...

Quick (I hope) question.

I have the 400A interior and I'd like to go to the 401A for the shift knob to get that smaller ring where the boot meets the knob. Can I just change out the boot and then get a shift knob that fits the 401A and declare victory? I like the stock aluminum knob but the hot/cold thing on here has moved me to getting something in a rally style.

Mine (white/black shift pattern) only took one week to show up. I would imagine they have those in stock, but the adapter doesn't thread onto the shifter. I called today and no answer, so I sent an email. I hope to hear back from them tomorrow. I hate having a new part, but can't use it yet. It was a Christmas present, and I got lucky by them going ahead and giving it to me now.

They make the adapters in two different thread sizes, 12x1.25 and 12x1.75, you probably got the wrong thread size. OEM shifter needs the 12x1.25.

Nitro,

That classic white on black looks sweet! :yelpleased: Got mine from Grabber Pony as well, took 4 weeks but I had the Ford logo put on both sides. Well worth the wait and 10X better than the crappy stock shifter.

Question... I'm thinking about order a knob from epco and wondering what to put on the order form

Mostly for the master insert...

Should the size for a GT/CS interior knob be 12mmx1.25?
Do I want it recessed or flush? I'm assuming flush...
I plan on ordering an adapter from grabberpony.com so do I need to purchase anything else like reducers, or is the knob all I need?

Chris

That's sharp!! Aluminum alloy? Love my shifter as well. Just gives me that positive engagement feeling the others don't.

From epco you need a knob with a 12x1.25 thread insert, flush.
