I want this shift knob, what do I need and where do I get it?

Like the description says, where can I find this aside from the ford dealership.

idk... Mine came with it from the dealer (sans 6th). The closest I've found that are similar are from MGW.

You might want to do some research on that one - lots of folks report that the knob gets red hot - to the point that it can't be touched in a hot car. If you really want it I'm sure one of the guys here that didn't like it might want to sell it to you.

I got a rally striped knob from epco - it is super high quality, looks awesome, and stays nice and cool. You will also need a jam nut if you go aftermarket, I have the one from grabberpony.com and it works perfect.

Hot from the engine or hot from the sun? I hadn't heard that (not saying it's not true, just haven't heard that).

Yeah, i'm sure it'll get hot when it's a 100+ degrees here in fresno, i'll probably have the 6speed pattern scarred on my hand. hahaha...

I'm not too worried about it though.

Hot from the sun lol. I had an all metal one with my WRX 300 as that's what it came with, the hot sun wasn't really a problem in the UK but it sure got cold in the winter.

Not even the sun- just sitting in a hot car during the day it gets to hot to touch. That said, it's super cool (pun intended) and feels great in your hand most of the time.

I'm not sure if the picture you posted is from a 2011 premium.Mine is slightly different.Not the knob itself but the boot has no chrome ring like mine does.

I'll guess & say it's a 2011 premium knob & boot on a base model W/O chrome ring.Here is a pic of my 2011 premium knob.Just slightly different.

With all this said i made a post a while back about getting a rally stripe knob for my car.Problem seems to be that nobody makes the proper jam nut to make this possible.

If I could get the proper jam nut I'd be willing to sell you my factory knob.
