I bought a Borla S-type catback used for $700. It is by far the best sounding exhaust for the 2011-2013 5.0 The gt500 also sound nice. I thought about buying gt500 mufflers and then getting the resonators removed and then getting an x-pipe installed to simulate the loudness and the smoothness of the borla s-type. People just dont understand that you cannot make the new 5.0 loud without being raspy unless you have the right mufflers AND an x-pipe (preferably catted)

BELOW IS MY HOMEMADE VID OF MY BORLA S-TYPE

From listening to your Borla S's, my opinion is that they sound significantly louder, but also a little raspier (higher pitch) than my Ford Racing Touring Axle-back Mufflers (which I understand are basically the GT500's, except with rounded tips).

Here's a clip of another GT with Ford Racing Touring's. You'll get the idea. Comparatively mild and unabtrusive at start up and under normal cruise...but with a nice "grumpy" low end sound, which develops into a satisfying howl under WOT. Just perfect for my needs.

IMHO, neither is "better", it's just a matter of preference. BTW, nice car!

I usually use www.fordpartsoem.com for my Ford Parts. They have Ford Racing parts as well, but I have found these guys to have the best pricing that I have seen online. I used to get some of my parts off of Ebay, but these guys kill the pricing I have found on Ebay. Plus, their customer service is incredible.
