I think his point about the people whining about the Getrag would regret putting in the Tremec as it would not be any better.

I agree some people just want something different than what they have now.

Beechmont Ford in Cincinnati. Or there are quite a few new 2011s still on lots that getting one for invoice should be a no brainer.

the 392 has great power, i just don't ever see it being competitive with a car like the mustang just because of the heavy sedan platform that it is based on vs the comparably light and nimble chassis of the mustang.

i still think "boat" when i see one. if grand touring is your thing, it would be a fine choice but for all around sporty driving, i think it is a fluke.

oh and it is faster in the 1/4 mile than the 2011 mustang gt. the 392 consistently pulls off mid 12's which only an elite driver on a day with good weather can consistently pull off in a 2011 gt. besides, with it's price tag, it is meant to compete with a gt500 which let's face it folks, destroys the 392 in almost every single way besides maybe comfort?

They forgot to mention the gas guzzler tax, which the 550hp Shelby doesn't have!

Elenora. Watch out, she may kick.

I tried to order a 392 Challenger right before I ordered my 2012 GT. The expected delivery date of the 392 Challenger was met with laughter by the dealer. I was driving my 2012 GT 39 days after I ordered it.

All Dodge Challengers with manuals (including the 2011 and 2012) have Tremec TR6060's just like the Camaro SS, Corvette, GT500, and Cadillac CTS-V...not Getrags.

The rear axel in V8 manual models is made by Getrag.

I'm really confused...

Challengers use the Tremec TR6060.

2011+ Mustangs (excluding the GT500) us the MT82.

Is that not correct?

Yes, correct. If you'll go back and look I was replying to someone that said the Tremec was in the Mustang GT.
