Painted and installed intake and valve covers

I seen on another thread someone painted their covers on their engine. I thought I would give it a try, seeing that I was in the process of painting my new spoiler, quarter window louvers and Roush valance. It really wasn't that bad, and the results came out pretty good. What do you all think?

Thanks. It really makes the engine compartment a little cleaner looking. Someone did it with spray paint and said it was holding up so I figured doing the whole plastic prep/primer/sealer/paint/clear would be alright too.

I think it looks OK. You did a nice job though. I presonally like the looks of the cover off... kind of a muscular look, but the foam fuel rail covers wouldn't look right.

Thanks Mountain. I looked at it w/o the cover and your right on. I am not much on plastic stuff on the motor. I got an '89 5.0 with a dressed out 302 and the motor looks tougher than the new one.

Thanks 201250. Sounds like another weekend project. I never thought about the tube. I got plenty of supplies left.
