Going back and reading jmatero's ancient posts make me laugh ass off! Talk about a nut!

Anybody know whatever happened to his case with Ford and which poor automaker he has in his crosshairs now?

I am still waiting for the ABC News 20/20 story that Chris Cuomo was supposedly working on! LMAO!!!!:laughlitt

Way to bring one back one from the dead. :?: Actually, this is a good "closed thread" contender.

Ah.... the memories. Too back we can't bring back his early videos too when he was "having fun" with his car after he first got it. Those were classic.

I'll second this... It was bad thread to begin with... And those Matero videos, they should have been marketed as a "what not to do" series.

Anyways, I think the usefulness of this thread has passed, and Karesh should make a new one, with only correct information in it as a "starting point".

I bought my car in January used 2011 V6 with 28k miles on it. I have had 2 warranty repairs in the 8k miles before the warranty ended. One for the airbag readiness light wouldn't turn off. The other for a bad driver power seat motor. Hopefully no more issues as my warranty is now gone.

Umm, you do know your powertrain warranty is not gone. The powertrain is for 5 years 60K miles. The powertrain warranty is all I care about because that's where the big $$$$ is for repairs.

SOLD: Black 2011 GT 5.0.

Yes I am aware. I was referring to the bumper to bumper warranty.

Ugh, I hate that jmatero guy. He has come on every automotive forum I've ever been a part of and comes on with his junk statistics. Maybe if he collected the data in some sort of way that actually made sense instead of begging people to sign up and report their information on a voluntary basis...

I will be receiving my 2013 GT (mt 82) in a week or two. Given that I am going to be putting ~33k miles/yr or so on it, I am planning to buy a 4 year/100k ESP plan for the power train at a minimum. However, I am wondering if it is worth the extra $750 to just upgrade to a 4 yr/100k bumper-to-bumper (premium care). Thoughts? It seems to me like the main issues with the 2011+ are related to the power train, but I also haven't seen a lot of 2011s that are past the 33k mile mark to know what else may fail on them, which is my reasoning for going with the premium care.
