Windshield washer spray question...

I have a 2012 Mustang GT. Ohio weather being typical for December, I've been using the windshield washer more and noticed that there is about a 2 second delay from when I press the washer spray knob to when liquid actually sprays on the windshield. Is this normal or is there some type of leak or something? I don't remember it doing this before...

Thanks.

Yeah, that's my point, I push and hold and hear the pump going for about 2 seconds before the windshield gets sprayed. Does the washer fluid drain back from the hose to the reservoir between uses? I have plenty of washer fluid. Definitely not low.

Its the same way in my F150. Push and hear noise, and just about the point I'm getting ready to release it and cuss that I'm out of fluid it starts shooting out. Then it shoots clear over my roof. Guess its just a Ford thing. I've gotten used to it.

haha, i learned to not use my wiper wash stuff when my top is down or i will be taking a shower, it only sprays the top of my window, and the rest goes over the car, onto the roof/rear window lol

Ive noticed a delay too....my 2011 seemed to be near instant spray...the 2012...definitely a delay? I wonder if there is a pressure bleed valve or something?

Then there are guys like me. Ive had my GT for a year and and a half. The wipers and washers have never been used, so I can't give any advice. I don't know if they even work.

I wonder how adjustable the nozzles on the Mustangs are. Most cars you can put a pin in the nozzle and move it around.
