So othere then that any advice for bolt on's?

Check page 203 in the 2013 manual under the section titled "Breaking-In."

Yeah so I have noticed 2-3 gear if i'm shifting fast I will miss from time to time, you say barton shifter will clean that up for me? Or am I just missing it due to lack of experience? What is your opinion on a cam job, I was thinking about getting it for horsepoewer and that makes it sound like it has a carb on it. I love the sound of a old school carb rumble.

I agree with Mallen, read the manual, it tells you exactly what to do.

And keep an eye on the oil (which you should be doing regularly anyway), especially during the first few thousand miles.

If you love your dog, get a microchip, they really work! My lost dog was back home in just under 24 hours thanks to the good citizens who called the county and the microchip that told animal control exactly where he lived.

Did Ford cheap out on you and not put an owner’s manual in the glove box?

I don't speak often but when I do, I don't have clue what I am talking about. I just repeat things that I once heard and do not repeat them correctly... My doctor told me it was an ID 10 T problem and it was incurable.
So when I reply to a post or add to a thread I just find the words elsewhere and copy and paste.

He was probably lying. What he really meant was "I cant race you because its in limp mode again and the dealer says I have to wait 4 weeks for the damn part to come in from Korea,so that he can fix it ,again, and it will work for a week before I have to take it back with another problem" Ive been there. Those cars are a disaster.

Sometimes, I see cops with their backs turned writing tickets. When I drive by I can see them stick their heads up,and sniff the air, catching a whiff of exhaust and burning rubber, the crimson smell of speed, telling them a Race Red Mustang is somewhere nearby!

I had to drive mine 80 miles to get it home from the dealership when I picked it up. I didn't really baby it (except for that 30 mile stretch a state trooper followed about 3 inches off my back bumper to make sure I didn't speed) but I did shift from 6th back to 5th every so often to vary the rpms (what could I do with out any stop lights?)

After I dropped my wife off and took my son out in it I unintentionaly got to see the tach change colors for the first time. I haven't had any issues at all, almost 7 months and 8600 miles later (can't believe its been that long!)

I did the free 3000 mile oil change, then the first real service interval at 7500 miles. No ticks, transmission whines, nothing. The car runs like a swiss watch and I have pretty much been driving it like I stole it ever since.

Man all I can tell ya to do is just drive it, and love it. Take care of it and it should care of you

Same way you break in any new engine. Nothing different about a mustangs engine.

Google search 'mgw mustang' and read the tons of positive reviews, folks swear by them. Mine arrives today!

MT-82 SHORT THROW SHIFTER

Check the vids for a comparison between OEM & MGW. Simply no comparison. These are custom made by hand, one batch at a time, and will take 5-6 weeks to arrive. Can be installed in your driveway, only special tool required is a strap wrench for the shift knob.

And +1 for the GT500 axle backs, can't wait to put them on my Boss when it arrives near the end of the month.

With Ti-VCT, replacing the cams will make no noticeable difference in the exhaust sound. Also replacing the cams will restrict or eliminate the variable cam timing abilities which narrows your powerband. Like a Boss intake, the gains are high in the RPM band and low-end torque gets reduced.

If the cammed sound is what you really want you can get the 'cammed tune' or 'ghost cam tune' from most of the reputable tuners. Just be aware of the possibility of driveability issues, major smell, and damage to your catalytic converters.

I drove my 2013 gt home from Miami doing 80 for 60 miles then drove normal never over the speed limit for around 240 to start then would open it up for a half mile maybe even a quarter because I heard about this break in thing and it smelled a little I figured it was the brand new parts getting used to the high heats My friend said it was carbon being burnt off I did that agian a week later when I got my Roush axle back and there was a smell but not as strong now I drive normal I have like 5?? Miles no problems with the motor or anything idk if there is still a smell havnt sped in awhile I really feel there isn't a break in period the engine was built to do what it can I'm sure you braking it in won't make it any different
