Well, I can only give you my experience:

I accidentally hit the black plastic several times with the white 105 and 205 polishes and the buffer. So, when I finished with the spray on canuba, I literally used the towel (saturated with said canuba) to wipe off the spots of white. It worked great.

Most of that spray on polish stuff is clear . . .

It's kind of an art form, and I suspect I can do better next time.
