Car cover recommendation

I'm towing my 2013 from Chicago to Florida behind a moving truck in a week and a half and want to put a cover on it for the trek. What cheap recommendations do you guys have to protect the car? I was thinking about buying a generic cover from autozone since the car will be garage parked once moved. Thoughts?

I dont think a cover will stay on at 65mph, and if it did I would worry about it flapping the paint off.....are you thinking of a cover on a moving car?????

2012 V6 traded in for a 2017 VW GTI.

Don't do it! Cover with the wind will damage paint. I cover my cars only after a fresh wash. Any hint of dust will scratch. If the wind is going to blow I don't cover. Also a super coat of wax is a must. Proper install and removal is needed. I have covered my cars for years so I know what is needed to keep damage from happening.

What about debris (rocks, bugs,etc...) flying from the moving van onto your Mustang? Does the van have mud flaps behind rear wheels?
Why tow such a fine vehicle. Drive it...must be more to your story.

You can cover the front facing panels with painters tape, should help with rock chips and such.

Painters tape for sure. A car cover will rub your paint clean off
