Has anyone ever installed the backup sensors on the Roush rear valence?

I have a 2012 Mustang GT and in installing some bodywork pieces I had, I asked the shop to find a way to mount the stock backup sensors on the new valence. The top part (positioned the same as stock) was a bit more rounded than the stock valence, so they were worried they couldnt get the whole in the right location without some curvature leaving gaps around the sensors... i.e. they would not sit flush with the valence.

So they installed them here:

This not only cuts down the range they cover, but now they are useless because they trigger all the time when backing up, since the outside ones are triggering off of the fins on the valence itself!!!

So I'm wondering if anyone has ever stuck these on the Roush valence in the stock positions and how it turned out. It's looking like I need to buy another and have them try again in the right places.

Aside from the fact that they're now totally useless, the custom install is pretty seamless visually

You'd have been better moving the sensors slightly up than down to fit in the space under the crease. The installers should have known they wouldn't work there even if you didn't.

I have a how-to on the OEM valance if you search for it.
