2011 Mustang Shaker 500 6x8 replacement problems!!!

I recently bought some MB Quart ONX157 6X8 speakers for the front doors. After I installed them I noticed that when i turn the volume up more than half-way.....they will cut out randomly. They don't cut out at the same time either. The factory 6x8's look to be 50watt, 4 ohm. The new MB Quart ones are also 4ohm, 50 watt. Not sure what the deal is.....anyone else notice this when replacing from 6x8 speakers?

I had my passenger doing that, it would crackle then cut out every once in a while. It was the adaptor plugs not being tight on mine. I pushed them together really tight then electrical taped them and haven't had the problem since.

Assume you are using the Metra Harness? Agree with last post--you have to ensure they 'click' together--and that may take a bit of effort.

If they aren't connected all the way it could be that, as was said above.

If you didn't install them with the connector you could have wires shorting each other out. Try looking at it to see what the deal is.
