Convertible top questions

Haven't posted for a while as I havent had the need. But now I have a few questions. Someone metioned to me that I need to make sure I treat my convertible top so it stays soft and pliable. However after looking at it closely, it seems to me that it is more like a canvas type material. But in trying to do some research on it, I cant really find out if it is canvas or vinyl. So I come here as I know many here will know the answer. And if it is canvas, does it need any treatment to stay in nice shape?

PS> the top is tanish in color, and the window sticker says "stone vinyl conv. roof" .... but it sure dont look like vinyl.

ALso, I have posted before that I have had an occasion where I went to put my top down and I could hear the motor/pump running, but the top didnt move until I accually pushed upward on the top. Then the pump changed tone like it went under load and the top went down. I took it to the dealer and of course the top worked flawlessly for them 10-15 times while they had it. And since then I have had a couple more times that it has done the same thing. Has anyone else experienced this and/or knows what could cause this?

Thanks in advance,

I know my 13 is considered cloth and I use raggtop cleaner and sealer and it works great.

V6 Convertible Top

The 2011 V6s have Vinyl tops in the US. Canadian models have the option for cloth or vinyl. I use Raggtopp Vinyl Top Cleaner and their Conditioner, both available at Amazon.
