CR3Z-6346612-A - Ford BRACKET

Reference: X-BRACE from BOSS 302 - Team Shelby

Quote:
Here are the four part numbers you'll need for the seat delete:

CR3Z-6363048-A $15.50
CR3Z-580374-A $253.65
CR3Z-6346612-A $1136.74
CR3Z-6360508-A $552.79

Total $1,958.68

For that price? Are you crazy!?!?

I did, however, add the Boss seats and brake ducts to a non-Boss. Those 2 are WELL worth the money.

I'm I missing something here? It's DOM tubing "X" with flanges... why the $$$? I'd weld it up myself if I wanted to.

You'd think Steeda would come out with a blue one with "Steeda" on it instead of "Mustang " for half the price. Still would be expensive IMO, but a bargain in comparison to the Ford kit.

$1998.58 for the X-brace and related parts. Yeh that might happen, but I doubt it.

does anyone know the weight of that thing?

I don't speak often but when I do, I don't have clue what I am talking about. I just repeat things that I once heard and do not repeat them correctly... My doctor told me it was an ID 10 T problem and it was incurable.
So when I reply to a post or add to a thread I just find the words elsewhere and copy and paste.

A fair market price would be around $500, if you ask me.

Using the http://www.americanmuscle.com/seat-delete-kit-05.html from AM as a price gauge. The rear seat molding/carpet should be ~$200, and the metal X-brace would be ~$300. Give or take, but that seems like a fair price to me, considering the Boss brake duct kit goes for $250, which includes two custom metal rotor plates and the two hoses.

I can have one of my metal suppliers quote the x-brace as a starting point. Problem is, I have no specs on it. Is it chromoly?

An off-road x-pipe costs more than $300.. So I dont see how this brace could be done for less.
