annoying whistling

Hey guys, yesterday I was driving home from work and it was cool enough out to turn the AC off, and when I did a quiet whistling started. It isn't loud but it's noticeable. it's like the sound when you dont have a door shut all the way or the window has a tiny gap in it and you start driving. So the second I turn the AC back on it goes away....I know it has something to do with the car trying to push air through the vents when the AC is off, but I have no idea what caused it or how to fix it...

Well its been 96-100 here so my AC has been on! As far as the noise that actually happened to my dads truck and it was the vent you are talking about. I don't know about the 2013 cars but I am assuming you have a button on your AC to pull in outside air vs the recycling of the inside. try hitting that button and see if it makes the noise again. if it does the dealer should know exactly how to take care of it.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check the different buttons regarding AC when I get out of work. I would think I have a button that does that..? Maybe someone else with a '13 can comment if there is a button that makes the AC do that.

It's the button that has an arrow that turns back on itself.

hahaha...too funny.

So regarding the fix, when I got back to my car I turned on the AC and hit clicked like all the ac buttons on and off including the curved arrow one, and it went away!

Thanks for the help people.
