I like that noise on a downshift. You can get rid of a lot of that from an x-pipe as well.

I have the S-Type on my 2011, and after I had a Roush TVS installed, this characteristic was exaggerated quite a bit. It got noticeably louder at WOT and in the upper RPM range. It also gurgled and "popped" more frequently when letting off the throttle. After putting on a smaller pulley and VMP tune, OMG! It sounds crazy now, especially when you get on the throttle hard and then let off abruptly. It rumbles and pops everytime, almost as if it is begging you to step on the pedal again.
