@jm1llz - I actually took the plasti dip off of it.....didn't come out how I expected it to when you look at it from an angle in sunlight

Lol...So do you think your coating just came out badly? Or what? Did you not like the texture of plasti-dip or not like the actual color of it being black?

Hey "flira" the grill looks great. I'm planning to do the same with mine. Did you take the grill out or did you just masked the edges?? Let me know

13' Mustang GT 5.0L Grabber Blue 401a, 6spd manual, Brembo brake pkg with Boss radiator, engine oil cooler, Torsen differential & 3.73 gears. Back up camera with Navigation.
Mods - Flowmaster Outlaw, Roush front, side, rear splitter. Roush hood scoop + quarter window louvers, Barton 2 piece shifter bracket

I'm not sure what he did, but I took the grille out. It isn't hard to take out and it's much easier to tape that way.

I should be getting my mustang in a couple of weeks and want to be prepared to paint my grille. Where do you guys get your plasti-dip?

Home depot. It's $4-$7 depending on where you live.

I want to do it without taking out the bumper, did you just force pulled it?? I'm putting a boss grill on mine so don't care If my tabs break on the original grill but I need my surround to be un-damaged

Yes I just pulled it. You don't have to worry about the surround breaking, there isn't really a chance of that happening. The plastic used for the surround is ultra durable. The inside grille is another matter, but it sounds like it doesn't matter for you if those tabs break.

I took out the grill..theres a couple clips holdin it in place....u jus gotta pull it out.

I got my plasti dip at lowes...they had plenty in stock versus home depot where they only had like 1-2 cans
