BOSS 302 top Gear Movie episode

Anybody else see this? They decided to review what cars from today would be used in remakes of Classic car movies.

First up, if Bullit came out today what would he drive? The Boss obviously.

Fairly decent review and nice to see it on the show. They had it lose a track matchup against a Vauxhall VXR8 but overall still a decent piece.

American, Australian.. there is even a Russian Top Gear.
They all suck. Clarkson, May, Hammond are the real legends.
We watch British Top Gear with entire family as one of the best comedy entertainment show ever.

Love the British version. The US version is aweful. That said, their anti US vibe gets annoying sometimes. The Vauxhall VXR8 is no doubt a nice car, but in US dollars, actually owning one will set you back $72,000 clams.

The point never mentioned on that show is that, whereas we Americans have a whole bevy of awesome muscle cars that can and are actually purchased by hundreds of thousands of Americans every year, practically the only Brits who can afford a VXR8 are named Richard Hammond, Jeremy Clarkson and James May.

You realize that's kind of the point, right? They hate on American cars the same way we hate on British teeth. No matter how good they actually are, they'll always be a joke.

They call lots of cars bad, but still will buy them outside of the show. They're primarily entertainers. If people buy a vehicle based solely on their biased opinion, then they're not much into cars in the first place...and probably don't want to think for themselves anyways.

If my thinking is current, the Vauxhall is just a glorified GM. If the segment was to be true to the movie, they should have used a Charger or Challenger. Both are available, and both have the right creds.
