'10 SS owner claims '11-'13 GT the better

vehicle.
I went to MO-KAN yesterday. On the way home, I had to stop and get some fuel in Jasper, MO.
I was coming back to my car (an '11 GT!), and there was a gentleman getting gas in his Buick.
He started asking questions i.e. is that yours, what year is it etc....
He then explained that he had an '06 GT that he really loved. He and I talked another few minutes when another gentleman approached. The first gentleman offered that the 2nd gentleman was his brother who used to own an '06 GT too. But the brother traded his '06 GT for an '10 SS Camaro.
The brother than asked questions of my car i.e. hows it run, is it fun to drive etc...
He said "your car looks amazing much better than my Camaro does". I was a little shocked to hear that. I mean I agree with what he said but shocked to hear it from a Camaro owner. He then talked about how his Camaro was to heavy for a muscle car and that it wasnt real fun to drive and he wished he still had his old '06 GT. He said that my car looked faster than his just sitting there. He also said he would rather have my car than his Camaro.

The two gentleman then shook my hand said "nice job on buying a nice car" and left.

Nice Job Mustang

AW.

I don't think he's the only one that feels that way, around here only the BMW drivers give my car more hateful glares than the Camaro drivers do.

If you love your dog, get a microchip, they really work! My lost dog was back home in just under 24 hours thanks to the good citizens who called the county and the microchip that told animal control exactly where he lived.

Hey man small world! I was there in the blacked out gt cs. Your car had some vinyl lettering correct?

I ended up running next to a black camaro ss three out of my five runs. We know what the outcome was lol.

I saw you talking to my buddy Tj (also in a black gt) but never got to introduce myself.

His got one thing right they are heavy. As a former Ls F-body owner i dont call the new camaro a camaro. I think their ugly and heavy and being a 6.2 and only making 12 more hp then the 5.0 I'm not impressed

yes...5bites. I did see your car.
I was asking my wife to see what you ran but she didnt.
Your car looks awesome!!!!

It was a long drive but worth it.
Mo-Kan was the friendliest raceway we have ever been to.

I wish I drove better. I once said I was a mod to my car now I am an un-mod to my car I feel like.

There were so many cool cars there. I cant wait until spring!!

Thanks for the compliment. It's a fun car to drive. My wife, boys and I all enjoy it. First time I got on it with my boys in the back my youngest (6yo) said "whoa man we're doin a wheelie!"

My best pass was a [email protected] This is my new pb. She needs some good shoes and maybe a stall. If I can get an 11.99 come spring I could see 100 shot in my future to try for 10's.

Keep on trying man. Rowing gears on your own is a whole different game lol. Very rewarding when you get it right though!

Mokan is a cool track with good nachos. It's not the fastest track around (I hear Tulsa is .2 faster) but its a fun place. Like you said the folks are pretty cool there. Well the burnout box guy can get a crappy attitude sometimes lol.

Yep that's the one. I had him by almost a full second on his best pass. I think he ran a best of 13.33 maybe? The owner couldn't get it out of the 14's so his buddy drove and got the best pass followed by another 14 something.

I wish those cars ran better than they do. They should anyway. It's not much of an improvement over the 98-02's. I haven't seen many of them run that well at mokan either.

I'm an f-body guy as well and I am not a fan of the new Camaros (hence why I bought the car in my sig). Don't get me wrong - I still love my '02 Z28... But, the new ones just don't do it for me. They're too big, bulky, heavy and have $h!t for visibility. The only thing I really like about them is the powertrain. Other than that, Chevy can keep 'em IMO.
