Mustang Must Haves

The Mustang would be a far better car with simple additions such as:
1. Heated mirrors. It really annoys me that I need to manually defrost the mirrors especially when ther's precipitation;
2. Glove box LED lights;
3. Trunk lights (2) on the deck lid;
4. Sun visor that blocks the windshield behind the rear-view mirror;
5. Transitional glass rear window that darkens when subjected to the ultraviolet sun light;
6. More durable driver's floor mat;
7. Lower body moldings to match the body color;
8. Wheels with an avant guard accent color;
9. Tilting head rests;
10. Side and rear proximity warning devices;
11. Turn signal audio tone with adjustable volume;
12. Transparent Mustang Pony in the front grill illuminated by My Color LEDs;
13. More accessible USB port with a miniature flash drive;
14. Built-in front looking video recorder;
15. Bright color brake calipers.

I agree with a few of them, but a few others IMO would take away from the muscle car feel.

Also, have you hooked up the USB2? I ran the cord/adapter from the SYNC box behind the glove box and have a flash drive on it all the time. Works great.

Making all those things on your wish list happen is the fun of modding. I think Ford struck a good balance with the features they gave us for the price of the car. My '12 Premium has quite a few goodies a friend's '13 Honda is lacking.

However...

12. Transparent Mustang Pony in the front grill illuminated by My Color LEDS
I have to admit that thought occured to me too, except just the existing chrome pony backlit... I'd even be happy with a single color, even just a clear bulb to give it a nice glow.
13. More accessible USB port with a miniature flash drive
I agree on the location of the USB port... I'd like the USB in the console to be up higher so I can feel for it without needing to look. Sure I could use the one in the dash but I don't want to look at the spaghetti plus I don't want to have to remove the device everytime I park the car whereas what's hooked up in the console is out of sight.

If you love your dog, get a microchip, they really work! My lost dog was back home in just under 24 hours thanks to the good citizens who called the county and the microchip that told animal control exactly where he lived.

For 2013 the Comfort Package includes #1.

All 2013s have #7, although opinions seem about evenly split over whether this is an improvement. Half the people say the 2010-12 black plastic moldings look cheap and the other half say the 2013 painted moldings make the car look fat.

2012 cars built since about July 2011 have #9.

Would have to agree with a lot of the rest, especially the trunk and glove box lights.

Other than heated mirrors,and going back to a normal rear view mirror ( mine never seem to dim automatically when ultra bright headlights are behind me).
Improved trunk lights would be a good thing,my '11 are built too low,lower than the brake lights.
Lit pony emblem!!! are you kidding me... if that's not excess bling I don't know what is!
A slightly more roomy front passenger glove box would help too.

2011 GTCS Candy Red;Premium leather interior package, Remote start, security package, upgraded speakers, 6MT 3:55. 35% tint all around, Borla "S" axle backs, & clear corners.
The rest is all FORD

1. The comfort package includes heated mirrors. This was a requirement for my new car.
6. I bought the $85 all weather mat option and they seem very durable.
9. The headrests do tilt (atleast on my premium leather seats). It clicks about ten levels then goes back to the starting position. Just pull forward to activate
10. Security package includes rear proximity warning

Let me fix that list for you.

A Mustang must have
1. Big engine
2. Manual trans
3. LSD
4. Big engine
5. Good brakes
6. Big engine

Everything else is just more weight to slow it down.
