Replacement OEM hood: aluminum or alternative material?

I'm looking to replace my hood with the factory 2010-2012 hood but before I do that I'm wondering:
Is there any disadvantage to switching to a fiberglass or carbon fiber hood?
From what I can tell, getting a fiberglass or carbon fiber hood is significantly cheaper than getting a replacement aluminum hood. And despite my desire to go with factory, all the paint issue threads recently have me thinking I might be better off with a different material.
What do you guys think?

Thanks!
