Red Candy to Black

Last night my better half and I stopped at Home Depot and parked in a great lighted spot. The lights they use are kind of orange looking. When we came out we could not believe that my stang was black as coal. I knew the red candy changed with sun light but having look this way was wild. I still love the red and no I am not ready to go over to the dark side.:laughlitt

That's really odd. Sometimes when the light hits it right it looks like that, but I've never had the whole car looking that way. Cool.

If memory serves, it's sodium vapor lighting that does that. The bulbs are electrically efficient for applications like parking lot lighting, but they have very poor color rendering. I once owned a red Honda CR-X that under such lighting looked like it was a pinkish orange.
