What? By going around him?
I'm pretty sure reporting him to the police would have been "The right thing"

I actually think what you did was pretty stupid. What was the point of this thread? Brag about acceleration?

The last time I was behind a drunk driver who was driving just as bad (if not worse) than him, my cousin and I trailed him from a safe distance while on the phone with the local deputies until they were able to catch up to us and pull them over. Nobody got hurt and the drunk driver I'm sure received a nice wake-up call the following morning.

Just me but I would dropped back a safe distance and called 911. The driver may not have been drunk. There are plenty of diabetic drivers that allow thier sugar to get too high/low and drive.

Calling the cops probally would have been good, its seems a little risky to try to stop a drunk driver.

Calling in on the driver with location, plate number, you plate number and saying you are following at a safe distance was the right thing.
The actual place you chose to pass a car hugging and crossing over the line was not good with the Schneider truck in the right lane, left you with no place to go.

He could have pushed you over into the truck... as the others have said, call the cops, there could been a number of issues causing this type of driving.. but to do a fly by pass with the truck and the traffic, sorry it was not the right move IMHO...

Call the police... dont call the police... whatever. For your own safety though dont pass him like that when he is known to veer in your over taking path. Him veering on one side, an 18 wheeler on the other... pretty sketchy moment to pass....

I did call the cops

I just did not want to be anywhere near this person. Saw my opportunity to pass safely and took it. Just passed on the right though =/

That was an awful dumb move. Now he is behind you and can ram you. At least if he is ahead, you can avoid him at a safe distance, and maybe warn others.

The A-hole was probably texting.

Do you drive around shooting boring video all the time?
