Dealership performed a TSB on My '11 GT

Hey, about 3 weeks ago, I got a notice from my dealership about a TSB. The dealership completed it today.
I do not have the TSB number or real detailed information.

I did read the TSB about 2 weeks ago. The TSB describes a "knocking" noise from the engine attributed to the front engine cover.

I will have a copy of the TSB tomorrow and will give more details about what was done.

The reason for my post is I have never heard of this TSB until now. I have not read about anyone else having this done.

My wife brought my GT home today.

I went to the garage lifted the hood and just looked. I could not see anything different (of course). With the hood up, I started the engine. I am not sure but right at start-up it sounded quieter. I drove it about 20 miles, and, I could tell there was less noise from the car.
I turned the traction control off and promptly did a 4,000 rpm clutch drop and lit the rear tires up banged 2nd at 6800 and roasted some pirelli rubber hit 3rd gear and burnt some more pirelli rubber. I let off at the top of 3rd. Shifted to neutral and listened.... whisper quiet.
I stopped in the road. 5,000 rpm clutch drop...wow thats fun. And went through the gears to the top of 4th. Still no noises.

She now has 11,902 miles on her.

What do you all think?

Bob's LCA's on their way!!!!

AW

I know there is one for timing chain tensioners which I had done, was not easy to convince them I needed them. BTW there are no TSBs covering wasted clutches or traffic violations so be careful

That TSB isn't new for manuals. Thought it was for a idle knock? What issue were you having? They have to pull the front of the engine off to do that TSB, that would make me nervous.

Yes this was for a noise regarding the front engine cover. I did not have an issue or so I thought. I had the oil changed 3 weeks ago and a tech there could hear something. He did some research found the TSB. Oh and for those that dont know my works at the dealership. And after the tech talked to my wife explained what he heard and the cause and the TSB. I would have to say that occasionally I thought I heard something at idle but was never really sure with all of the other noises she makes. Anyway after some discussion we had it done.

Thas how we got this far so far anyway.

And no I dont abuse my car a 7,000 rpm clutch drop would be abusing it, lol.
And a warranty is a warranty. Dont build it if it cant take it!

Later all, AW.
