It was your car that made me consider painting them...gee thanks! Yours looks great just not sure that red would fit the image of the car. The factory color is too rusty looking.

I changed my mind, silver would look good too, as suggested after I posted my reply.

It is a very nice car! I will be doing black with silver letters. I think it would work for yours too. It will keep the look you already have clean.

Gold or yellow? It would be different than most everyone else and NOT red, like mine.

I don't want to think how much money forums have cost me...LOL. Moto111 might have it right, silver with red letters.

silver may be the way to go. Did you sand the calipers prior to paint?

I did not sand but the car only had 1000 miles on it when I did it. Probably a little wire brushing and a good cleaning with brake cleaner would do it for you.

you said yours was "rusty looking", were they not painted silver from the factory? mine look like they are painted with almost a ceramic bright silver and I sort of wanted to paint mine satin /semi gloss black along with the rusty looking hub that shows through the wheels.

Factory Brembos on Mustangs are a brown color. The base calipers are silver. My guess is that you have base brakes?

I just caught that you have the V6 car- so they wouldn't be Brembos. That's why yours are silver.

ahhh, I didn't realize you had Brembos. I knew the regular GT's I'd seen were painted silver like mine... I guess I never looked at the Brembo calipers before. the car I'm ordering in Feb has bright red painted Brembo calipers with silver letters, I guess I thought that was a Brembo thing.
