Used FRPP tuner question

has anyone sold their FRPP tuner for a 2011-12 GT? I'm thinking about selling mine and didn't know if it was as simple as un-marrying it from the car and shipping it off. Also if someone would PM some kind of range they have seen them for I'd appreciate it.

The bite for the FRPP pro-cal is in returning it to FRPP and paying 150 bucks for getting it matched to the car. But if the contained tune matches where its going then using the tuner to return to stock before using it on another car is all that is required.

I had two of the FRPP tuners and returned one to Ford. I contacted Ford Racing and they provided me the shipping label. Then I just dropped it off at UPS.

That was the first week of September and I am still waiting for my check. They say it takes up to 90 days. Go figure!

Good luck with that lol. I been trying to sell my brand new procal for months with no luck. I even brought the price down to $150 and still had no takers in 3 different forums plus craigslist. Got tired of trying to sell and finally tried it out. 3 days later I went back to stock tune. Look like I will be reselling this back to to FRPP and get the $75 back at least. I will be putting that $75 towards a real tune with some real support.

I actually like the tune a lot. I'm just thinking of adding more mods and will need a different tuner.

The tune is definitely not bad as far as SOTP feel, but if you experience pings which sound like heatshield crumpling when accelerating and make the drivetain slop come alive like I have experienced than I'm sure it won't be too good. Especially when FRPP doesn't offer simple remote tuning that can probably fix 99% of ping issues and others. I wanted to keep my procal at least until next spring when the supercharger goes in and went to lengths to possibly get a tune update but all failed. So it look like I will be going with either SCT or diablo sooner than I thought, which is not a bad thing by far
