Its made that way on purpose, and thats how it is with most modern cars.
How does this even come to your attention and present itself as a problem?
I myself have never noticed it on any other car, and I wonder if it prevents true, full throttle application.
How did it come to my attention? By driving in bare feet one day. I felt it, and was like WTF? It's not something you're liable to feel with shoes on, unless you're really trying to feel it.
And I do not remember such a thing on my 2005 GT.
