How does this even come to your attention and present itself as a problem?
I myself have never noticed it on any other car, and I wonder if it prevents true, full throttle application.

How did it come to my attention? By driving in bare feet one day. I felt it, and was like WTF? It's not something you're liable to feel with shoes on, unless you're really trying to feel it.

And I do not remember such a thing on my 2005 GT.

I'm trying to figure out what you guys are talking about. There's literally a bump in the floor of the car around the pedal? If there's one on mine, I've never noticed it. And I assure you the throttle has been mashed many times.

The car is throttle by wire (as mentioned above), so even when you have the pedal fully depressed, the computer is deciding how much to open the throttle blade.

Like i said, almost all modern cars are.

There is a hump in the floor under the pedal and its part of the firewall. This is done on purpose to control pedal travel.

Every car i owned had this. The Audi i had featured the same thing, except when you pressed the throttle all the way down you would hear a click. There was a special sort of rubber button on the floor so when you mashed the pedal you would feel it stop, and bounce back.
