Did "we" ever decide what caused the small bump the auto trannys get as we are coming to a stop? Sometimes it does it sometimes it doesn't. Some bumps are more pronounced than others. I did a search....found nothing....seem to remember weak servos being mentioned. I've had it since day 1. Is this a problem that will require repair down the road?
I don't have an auto but I remember a thread about auto shifting clunks. I believe what came out of that thread was harder shifts are actually better/easier on the transmission. I don't think its anything to worry about. The main difference compared to typical cars is the 300+ hp motor.
This doesn't apply to the 2012+ and does not address the same problem. What's happening is a sometimes delayed shift from 2nd to 1st as the car come to a stop. My 1993 Ford Ranger 4x4 does the same thing as it slows to a stop, but the 2-1 shift is consistent in frequency and intensity. The Mustang's is variable in both regards.
