More just flip outs in general (didn't mean to specify clarion) I went with the Clarion NX501 double din (GPS, bluetooth etc...) Personally I find the touch screen handy, you can rest your hand on the shifter and switch modes with your index finger. Never felt any need or want to have it higher, works well.

Hated the metra, but I've painted it so it actually looks pretty good. So far with the Clarion and Alpine components it's an awesome sounding system...both quality brands, can't go wrong.

Haha you went all the way lol.
I have shaker 500 non nav unit, so i just want to get a navigation unit that looks and functions well with some speakers. I actually like the subs in doors so unless those can be upgraded i dont want to add anything additional. I never listen music too loud and dont want extra weight. I think a good HU and a set of good 2 or 3 way speakers will provide clean sound. Just need to decide which speakers to go with.

Just an FYI
The dude who bought it has returned it. Maybe if they get it polished, then it would be worth it... but at this point it has too many issues for a $700+ price tag.

Awesome option if they can get it to work properly.

That setup looks really nice. What was your total cost to do that if I may ask?
