2011 5.0 AC compressor oil leak?

I have been searching for hours and have found no info regarding all the oil caking my AC compressor and steering rack. Everything else in my engine bay is still sparkling clean. Here are some photos of her:

The compressor is caked from head to toe and I can't get an angle to see behind it and check if a seal on the block is leaking. It doesn't look like coolant as well. Has this been documented by anyone else? Or am I the first to experience this problem.

17,000 miles, have had NO other problems.

Does your a/c still work? You need to clean the area to see what's leaking.

I don't remember seeing anyone with this....I'm guessing out of wtty.....clean it and re-fill see how bad it's leaking if slow it may be cheaper to fill 1x year.

2012 V6 traded in for a 2017 VW GTI.

If you're still under warranty bring it in.
Had mine replaced right around 36,000 miles because it was leaking and my AC would only work for a half hour and then start blowing warm. Not what you want to happen on one of the hottest days of the summer and you're 3 hours into a 14 hour road trip!!

Mine died yesterday

We are on vacation and the ac started blowing warm air. Got to the local Ford dealer. They said the compressor half seal failed and the compressor is toast. The parts needed are the compressor, condenser and some $400 valve that is on national backorder until July 20th. Paid the $100 deductible for the Certified car warranty. Have to wait until we get back to Virginia to have our local dealer order the parts and repair the ac. The car is a 2011 V6 with 31,000 miles on it. Not too inspiring to hear this may be a common problem when there are parts backorder issues.
