Either way, they should have at least cleaned that demo. I agree with bombing them in the survey and spreading the word. In the comments section of the survey, tell them to pay their technicians more than minimum wage so they can afford to clean vehicles properly.

Well I'm pleased to say that after several discussions with the dealer we had the car cleaned by a detailer at the weekend and the dealer agreed to cover most of the cost, so we now have a nice clean car
The salesman's main concern is definitely the survey which we've always said we'll complete honestly, and base on the whole experience including how they handled the cleaning problems - after all, they can't address their mistakes if they don't know what they are.
