I've never tried 1st but, I sure enjoy doing roll-on burn-outs in 2nd.

It is even easier now that I'm tuned.

This also crossed my mind. Had just hit 4000 miles on PZeros when I noticed this. Stang DOES seem to be hooking up better.

I know you can . Just don't have the $$ for it. That said, the wheel hop really is horrid in this car.

My first experience with wheel hop was in this car. OMG! I thought it was going to break in half. All joking aside..... it's horrible!

It's especially embarrassing with people on board. The SRA jokes ensue.

Guess I've gotten lucky (knock on wood). Had plenty of wheel spin, no wheel hop yet.

No Brembo package either, I presume.

I have never had the wheel hop issue, stock 19's (non brembo) nor aftermarket 18's. Not sure why people have this issue?

Also at 62,000 miles mine will still light them up in first or second if I want them to, stock 3.73's probably help though.

Nope. Stock 19'' wheels, all seasons, 245s. Wouldn't have thought the Brembo package would cause wheel hop.

I can sympathize! I thought a SRA was used to reduce wheel hop in these cars! I keep hearing about people with 04 cobras switching over to a SRA if they do a lot of drag racing. I have to say that I resent Ford for forcing people to have to modify their car to fix what clearly wasn't fully engineered. When I had a stock suspension, any wheel spin below a full on smoke show would lead to severe wheel hop. Terrible.

I now have new tires and a different suspension, but haven't driven the car that hard yet. Hopefully these changes will lead to improvements in wheel hop.

Billet lower control arms and relocation brackets solved the wheel hop problem for me.
