First time to run at the strip

First time to run tonight down the 1/4 mile. First run was a 13.2 @ 97mph hit the rev limiter in 3rd. 2nd run was a 12.9 @ 112mph and called it quits after that line was too long. DA was 2154ft @ Royal Purple Raceway. Only performance mod is Steeda CAI and 93 tune. Was really nervous tonight so I know I have room to improve, but it was a blast! Can't wait to go again.

That IS good for your first time out! With practice you'll get the 60-foot down to a 2.0 which would give you a 12.5 quarter mile- excellent at that DA. With Tire & Suspension upgrades, it'll be even quicker!

Thanks, I know I need to work on my 60ft time, was rolling out at about 2000 rpm letting out easy on the clutch till I felt it hook. Getting new wheels and tires next month with a set of radials to have on the side for when I go to the track. Thinking also of going with a Lund or aed tune in the near future, the steeda has been great no complaints about it but I feel like she has more untapped power.

There probably is more power on the table. I ran 12.20 @ 116.5 in my 2011 5.0 M6 with UPR's 93 octane tune and regular 18" street tires. I think the DA was around 1700 feet.
