I have the MMD struts and just removed the two screws on the cover and was able to flex it past the MMD struts. Just took some elbow grease....

Rock Auto has a good selection to choose from, the v6 & v8 have the same part numbers . I've replaced mine twice and chose the cheapest option (TYC) recently. No noticeable difference from the more expensive Wix option. I doubt there is with the rest too.
