Water Leaking Beneath Dash

I drove through a patch of heavy rain on a road trip this weekend and for the next few hours I felt water sporadically dripping on my feet by the pedals. First time I've noticed this. It would drip whenever I hit a bump in the road or made a sharp turn. A day later it seems to be gone.

Does anybody have an guesses what I should look for or how worried I should be? Don't want water accumulating in the firewall.

this is a real common problem on the s197. if your still under warranty, take to dealer for fix. there are numerous TSB (technical service bulletins) that address this. if not under warranty, use the search box in top right and start reading. good luck

Lots of bolt on goodies...

I had the same problem. Drips on left foot (man trans) after hard rain or good wash. Dealership fixed what was a bad gasket somewhere in the firewall. Took them 2 days to repair. Look at you firewall for rusty bolts (underdash). Thats how they say they found the leak. Don't have service order in front of me but can get it for you if you PM me. Good Luck

Mileage was 1,515 and 2 months old at time of repair

Thanks. Sounds like a pain but not too much to worry about. Have to get it to the dealer to check out.
