mpg question

Hi I know its a mustang but I would like some help if I could.I have a 2014 premium GT 5.0 mustang and I have been running 87 o0ctain Shell gas and was averaging between 19 and 20 mpg for 5 months and now since im using the A/C im only getting around 13 in town and 17 mpg average do you think if I ran a couple tanks of 93 octain it might help or is it just the summer blend of gas doing this or do I have a problem with the car. Thank You

So...How is the car running?

I boot mine a lot more now that the warmer weather is here and I have my windows open so I can hear the exhaust. I'm in the 18's if I'm havin a little fun. Gets much worse if I'm havin a lot of fun.

I have used 93 only. Around town I am getting 17+ and just took first road trip to HHI and got 25-26 mpg! I was very surprised and happy with those numbers.

That's the proper MPGs.

If you do city driving, with the A/C on in hot weather, and you drive "enthusiastically", you are going to get little in the way of MPGs.

If your only geting 13 mpg city, then something is wrong.. Or your flooring it the whole time? Try a different gas station... Also unplug battery(for 30mins) right after you full up with 93 octane, that should help out a bit...

Summer gas is the best gas...

I drive normal with some spirited driving. In town, I get between 12.5 to 15.5. I haven't had a chance to go on a road trip yet. I will next week. Best I've gotten with a combination of town and some interstate was 18. Maybe my 3.73 gearing hurts some, but I wouldn't think that bad. I hear a lot of folks on here saying they get 18 or 19 in town. Hmmm.
